Architectural Technology

content

Use you creativity to turn innovative designs into construction projects which are buildable, long lasting, sustainable and economical with our Architectural Technology programmes.

You will gain an excellent understanding of managing projects from conception through to completion, and develop the skills needed to resolve design problems.

The course combines simulated design practice, site visits and regular project work to ensure that you gain the necessary skills demanded by the architectural industry.

You will work on 'live' projects during your studies and study advanced computer technology using 2D and 3D computer-aided design in the most advanced design suite built by a Scottish university.

Graduate: Sylwia Kolek-Gruszczynska

Sylwia studied BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology and now works for HRI Munro Architecture.

“The course was of a really high quality, combining design work with site visits to gain the skills you need for the world of work. We worked on lots of different ‘live’ projects – domestic and commercial – and the lecturers were so helpful. After doing work experience I went straight into an Architectural Technologist job in Inverness and haven’t looked back. I feel so passionate about the future of the Highlands and everything that’s happening here.”
