Ross Pattison

Ross is the Course Leader for the HNC Fitness, Health and Exercise and the Friday Schools Access NPA in Sports Development. He also Lectures on the HND Fitness Health and Exercise as well as the 2nd and 3rd Year BSc in Sport and Fitness / Sports Management.

Ross joined UHI Inverness in 2016 after a career in the leisure/fitness industry. Ross is specialising in Sports Nutrition. He is currently completing the International Olympic Committee Post-Graduate Diploma in Sports Nutrition and will be completing a master’s degree with the University of Stirling.

Ross has a love of the outdoors and spends many a happy hour out exploring on his mountain bike, open water swimming, golf or skiing. Ross is a qualified Instructor in indoor climbing, mountain biking, triathlons, alpine Skiing, as well as numerous indoor P.E-based sports. Originally from Glasgow, Ross is also a qualified motor mechanic and driving instructor and worked as both before returning to study at the University of Stirling as a mature student, working closely with Triathlon Scotland in his final year.

Ross is a professional member of the Mountaineering Council of Scotland, British Cycling, and the British Association of Ski Instructors.
