Anna Lynch, Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy DipHE
A former community development worker, Anna Lynch (41) from Ardersier has now embarked on a new career supporting disadvantaged young people after studying a Diploma of Higher Education in Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy at UHI Inverness.
Anna said: “The practical training with classmates was invaluable. We’ve created strong bonds and we’re able to really craft our skills. Our tutors were very supportive and experienced and offered tons of valuable, theoretical and practical knowledge. I also loved going to the library and spending breaks outside in the beautiful grounds.
“I felt supported at all times. I had to suspend my course when I moved away for a year and was able to pick up the course when I got back. I’ve now embarked on a new career path, and I have established a collaborative community project, Inari Collective, which aims to create a safe space in Inverness and offers non-traditional therapeutic support to young people with disadvantaged experiences of neurodiversity, LGBTQI plus and more.”
