I am a part time Lecturer in the Beauty Therapy department at UHI. My career in teaching began in 1994 and I teach across a wide range of subjects.
Alongside my job at the college I have been a practicing Beauty Therapist running my own business since 1991. This enables me to stay up to date with industry and able to advise students wishing to set up on their own.
I have been a member of the British Institute and Association of Electrolysis since 1992. This requires me to regularly attend meetings, seminars and training in and around London to update my skills.
As a Lecturer, I am part of the College Educational partnership with Sweet Squared, the British Distributors of Creative Nail Products such as Shellac and Moroccan Tan and once a year I attend a Partnership Update at their Head Office in Leeds where I learn about the new products and treatments on the market and updating my skills.
I have also organised a variety of Creative Nail Design (CND) short courses for the students such as Shellac, wax:one, Nail Art and Moroccan Tan.
