Meet the team

Amanda teaches Accounting & Bookkeeping. She started her accounting career working for KPMG Peat Marwick, as a Junior Accountant mostly completing small sets of Financial Statements and Tax returns for Estates and Trusts.

Interesting Fact

Amanda has over one hundred roses planted in pots so she can move them around every year. Her husband does all the heavy lifting so he’s not so keen!

Cat teaches on the Accounting, Administration and Business programmes.  Cat worked in the personal finance and building sectors for 12 years before deciding to return to education to study BA Hons in Accounting at UHI. 

Interesting fact

Cat has a Forklift truck licence and an advanced driving qualification.

Heather teaches Administration and IT at both NQ and HNC levels across the Administration, Business and Accounting curriculums.  Heather has been a lecturer at UHI Inverness since 2004.

Rhona is a Finance lecturer in our Undergraduate degree programmes, as well as two core modules in our Postgraduate programmes.

Interests

I hold voluntary roles with Beauly Shinty Club, and actively support the Camanachd Association with Child Protection initiatives, and the promotion of Shinty within our communities. I have two active dogs that need good mileage every day and I also enjoy cycling.

Sarah, the Programme Leader for HNC/HND Accounting across the UHI Network mostly teaches management accounting subjects on the HNC and HND Accounting programmes 

Interesting fact

Sarah's life is ruled by my two Bernese Mountain Dogs, who love to get involved with online meetings and letting students know when the Postie has arrived with their barking.

Tim primarily teaches on the Business and Management degree programmes, both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has also taught at an international level.  He works at UHI Inverness as a lecturer in Informatics

Interesting Fact

Tim worked as a radio operator in the submarine service of the Royal Navy. His first sub is now in the naval museum in Chatham Docks!
