The Larder

content

larder cupboards

The Larder is our stocked food pantry which allows students to help themselves to free food. The food is stored in two cupboards to the right of the Student Support Centre behind reception, between the glass doors and lifts.

Run by volunteers with Food Hygiene certification, it is kept stocked and is open to students to help themselves during campus opening hours. Bags of ingredients needed to make a weekly meal during the Zoom cook-along sessions provided by The Cooking Club can be picked up at the reception. Recipe cards for the virtual cooking classes are also available.

We are currently looking for volunteers to stock the Larder cupboards in the student accommodation and at the Forestry Campus. If you would like to help please contact the Larder team by emailing us at abc.garden.ic@uhi.ac.uk.

We also have plans to expand our food aid provision by building a permanent Larder outside in a grassed area close to the front of the main campus.
