Your Bursary or EMA application will also cover the costs of any protective clothing, kit or study aids such as core text books.

This is paid directly to the department because they will supply the materials / equipment. The initial amount for your study costs will appear on your award letter as payable to the college.

If you are not awarded Bursary or fail to complete your funding application, then you will be invoiced for any of these course related expenses. This is especially important for courses such as hairdressing, cookery, construction and forestry where the kit costs can be higher.
