Started in Forestry at 18 on a Youth Opportunities Training course at the SSF.
In the 30+ years since have had a broad mix of experience with private estates, management company, local authorities, Scottish Natural Heritage and Forestry Commission.
My employment has taken me from Argyll to Yorkshire and West Coast to Aberdeenshire via Inverness and Edinburgh.

Landbased Skills (Level 4), Landbased Engineering (Level 4), Community Link, Rural Skills (Culloden Academy), Certificate in Forestry (Level 5), NPA Woodlands Operations (Level 6).
Expertise
My expertise is in hands on practical skills consolidated by many years in industry. Also a good understanding in machine operation, ATV’s, tractor and small plant.
Good chainsaw skills and experience with many years
Delivery of rural assessment and manual handling training / instruction, emergency procedures.
Trained First Aider.
