Social policy is going through a period of significant change and the module explores the underlying factors that are involved in this transformation, including the influence of a shifting value system. The analysis of welfare policy developments and delivery are linked back to the wider social and economic context. Scottish social policy provision is examined, drawing upon examples from the wider British and European frameworks.
