Musical invention is the primary purpose behind the module and in addition other forms of invention and creative thinking will be explored to widen the students understanding and expertise. This will involve innovative, inventive and unconstrained thinking while encouraging the students to deliver highly defined and well crafted products such as short pieces of music and improvisations. To a significant extent this will involve group, class, on-line and individually created compositions and improvisations.

This module gives an insight into the BA Applied Music degree. Student’s studying this module will be well placed for interview for any blended/virtual learning creative degree.
