Samantha Beck, Victoria Pritchard and Bernd Hänfling met with scientists from across the world to discuss the latest findings from genetics, genomics and transcriptomics data, and how we can better integrate them within management. Samantha presented her results from the SAL-MOVE project, which is funded by EU Horizon 2020.

She said: “The research shows that when we factor in climate change projections, the earliest and northernmost populations are at the greatest risk.”

International symposiums like this provide an important platform for our researchers to expand and strengthen collaborative networks. More information about the conference visit. IBFC attendance at the conference was enabled by SAL-MOVE, other external research funding and a travel grant for Sam from the UHI Research Staff Conference Fund.
