Background – A significant number of adolescents are below the threshold for the recommended daily levels of physical activity and exercise with sporting participation and upkeep declining in both female and male populations (Casper et al., 2011).  This project investigates the impact of sporting role models on social identity, behaviour and participation in youth sport.
