Roz Thomas
Enterprise lecturer
I am an enterprise lecturer based in the Hub for Enterprise and Innovation, part of the Centre for Living Sustainability at UHI Inverness with 20 years’ experience across a number of disciplines. In terms of curriculum delivery, I provide opportunities for students to develop ‘enterprise and entrepreneurial thinking’, as well as working with Forestry students at the Scottish School of Forestry (SSF).
Non-curricular activity I am involved in includes the annual UHI Business Competition, as well as Scotland’s Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Educators Programme (SEE), the professional staff development programme which equips participants to become informed, flexible and professional enterprise educators.
I am part of a team that delivers enterprise training to Research staff and students to encourage researchers to think about the skills required beyond academia and the changing research context. An introductory workshop leads to further training in developing entrepreneurial thinking and impact.
