Rachel Fermi
Lecturer
I am interested in working with students to develop both practical and conceptual sophistication in their work and practice. This parallels my own concerns as an artist. Previous major work includes a large, site specific, installation at Girton College, Cambridge, to mark the 50th anniversary of women being granted degrees by the University of Cambridge. I have collaborated on art-science projects based on my publication 'Picturing the Bomb' (Abrams NY) with groups such as Human Rights Watch, and the CUNY Center for Science and the Arts in New York. In addition to my own art photography practice, I am Creative Director of FLOW Photofest, and co-founder of The Inverness Darkroom in the new Inverness Creative Academy.
