Pathways to Care, Health and Society Level 5 SCQF Level 5
What is special about this course?
Pathway to Care, Health and Society is designed to give you an introduction to the areas of childcare, health & social care and humanities. In addition, it encourages critical thinking, provides a variety of real-world skills, and helps you explore career and personal development opportunities.
You will study introductory modules in areas such as counselling, psychology, social sciences, history, and care. Our pathways course gives you a range of options to progress your studies in Childcare, Health & Social Care, Psychology, Counselling and Social Sciences. Each of these areas plays a key role in encouraging personal development, building self-confidence and preparing you for challenges you may face in future.
Entry requirements
Four National 4s, one of which must be English/Comms.
Consideration will be given to students who do not meet the entry requirements based on relevant life and employment experience.
- Various subjects - By combining three key areas - care, health and society, this course gives you a thorough understanding of connected topics.
- Balance between theory and practice - The course combines the classroom theory, knowledge and understanding with hands-on experience. The combination ensures that you are job-ready in care, health and social settings.
- Career readiness - You will be equipped with the skills needed in various paths in Care, Health, Social Sciences and related sectors.
- Lifelong learning - This course is designed to encourage you to adopt a mindset of ongoing learning and adaptability in a rapidly changing world.

Fees
If you have been living in the UK for at least 3 years, are ordinary resident in Scotland before the course start date it is likely that you will not have to pay fees for your full time course. Please check our Fee Waiver Policy.
Full time students will automatically receive the fee waiver if they are eligible. We will use the information provided on your course application form to determine whether you are eligible.
