It is important to UHI Inverness that we protect your privacy and comply with the terms of the UK Data Protection Act 2018. This statement explains the information we collect when you access our website, why we collect it and where we disclose it.

What information is collected?

From web pages: The server www.inverness.uhi.ac.uk, in common with most web servers automatically logs the IP address, the domain name of the client, the address of the page the client came from and the software the client used to access the page.

From web forms: At various points of the site you may be asked to supply personal details using online forms. For example we will ask for your name and address on the apply form. We will store this on the College information system.

Why is the information collected?

Automatic logging technology is necessary to track the way you move through the site and to statistically analyse the effectiveness of the site.  We use the information to try to improve our site and to ensure you can find what you are looking for.

For enquiries and for applications we collect the information required to process your request. If you have asked us to update you on new courses or vacancies, then we consider this to be explicit consent to contact you again. To be removed from this list you can email us.

Where is the information disclosed?

Information collected through routine logging is not disclosed to any third party. If you subsequently enrol an extract of information collected will be sent to the Scottish Further Education Funding Council and other sponsoring bodies.
