Candidate | Statement |
---|---|
Kelly Mackenzie IT Project Officer, ICT Services |
I have lived in Inverness all my life and believe the College has a vital role within the community. I have studied at the College, completing qualifications in Business Management, my son is currently studying Architectural Technology and want future generations of Mackenzie's to have the potential to study a wide range of courses locally. I am passionate about making the College as good as it can be. I have led projects from continual service improvement programme in ICT services through to leading a Community Garden Project. The latter of which has led me to work in partnership with organisations across the area, such as HIE, the Council, local MP etc. I also understand the governance and legislative requirements of the organisation in my current role e.g. Data Protection, EU Procurement, risk management, etc. I am positive and hardworking and would be fully committed to my role on the Board. |
Helen Miller Events and Administration Co-ordinator |
I work within the CREATE team, have just served a 4-year term on the Board and am currently depute for support staff member on the Programme Board. It is clear we are currently approaching a very interesting path within UHI and it is more important than ever that staff members on the ICUHI Board have a very good understanding of what is happening locally, regionally and nationally with regard to tertiary education to contribute to this process. As someone who has lived in the local area all her life; is a partner in a local fencing business; has been a student of the college; has a son attending college; has worked at ICUHI for almost 10 years and is a member of the Board of Management along with 2 sub-committees, I do feel I am well placed to carry on with the commitment this requires. |
The online ballot will close on Friday 14 June 2019 at 5.00 p.m.
The result of the election will be declared on Monday 17 June 2017 following independent verifiation of the votes cast.
